Over the years, I’ve made a lotta videos for The Hundreds. But I’ve never directed a music video. I just filmed and edited one this past week, and it debuted a half hour ago, and I’m very proud of it.
I had the opportunity to work with Alex Spit. If you’re a The Hundreds follower, you’re probably well aware of the rapper, who also works with us here at The Hundreds. Alex isn’t a big-label artist or an internet sensation. He’s a good friend and a creative visionary. I believe in Alex’s art and his music, he and I both think alike along so many different channels.. so to collaborate on his music video for “REAL RSWD” was nothing short of organic and ideal.
It was a lot of fun to direct and tell a story in this fashion. Very inspiring and stimulating. I’m so fortunate to be able to express myself through so many different media. And it’s not just me, it’s you too. It’s everyone. That’s the age we live in. You’re not relegated to just doing one thing in the creative field anymore. Today, painters can be photographers can be sculptors can be dancers, and it all could make total sense. Something that was inconceivable, or at the least impractical, just a decade ago.
Call me lame but I like this song.
